Privacy Policy

CUT ROOM is a local-first video editing and YouTube publishing tool. This policy explains the limited Google and YouTube data it accesses and how that data is handled.

Information accessed

After the channel owner grants Google OAuth consent, CUT ROOM may access the selected YouTube channel’s identifier, title, handle, and basic status; OAuth access and refresh tokens; and the identifiers, metadata, and processing status of videos uploaded by CUT ROOM.

The public website does not collect media, account passwords, analytics identifiers, advertising identifiers, or payment information.

How information is used

Google user data is used only to authenticate the channel owner, identify the intended YouTube channel, upload videos selected by that owner, prevent duplicate uploads, and confirm upload processing.

CUT ROOM does not sell Google user data, use it for advertising, or share it with data brokers. Google and YouTube process information as required to provide their services.

Storage and security

OAuth credentials and YouTube workflow records are stored locally on the computer running CUT ROOM. Credentials are kept outside the source-code repository in owner-only storage. The public information site on this domain does not receive or store OAuth callbacks or credentials.

Retention, revocation, and deletion

Credentials remain until the channel owner disconnects CUT ROOM, revokes access, or deletes the local credential files. Access may be revoked from Google Account permissions. For assistance deleting locally stored YouTube data, contact the address below.

Google API Services

Our handling of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
